My view over Paris

roses over ParisBonjour tout le monde!  And what a beautiful morning it is… just look at that view!

These days waking up in Paris is difficult because it is pitch dark even at 7am but once the sun breaks through and spreads its light over this magnificent city I cant help but feel lucky to be living in one of the most stunning cities in the world.

This weekend I played true Parisian.  I walked towards the cobbled street “village” behind my new apartment that I am growing more and more in love with and bought fresh patisseries, fleurs et fruits.  This is exactly what I imagined before I moved here.  These boutique little  fromageries (cheese shops), boulangeries (bakeries), boucheries (butcher shops) and fruit & vegetable stalls with whom I hope I can eventually exchange small pleasantries and start to know.  The Parisians thrive on building relationships and dont believe in superficiality and I am keen to penetrate their hearts.

Here you can see the beautiful pink roses I bought this weekend, proudly looking over this stunning city that is now mine, from my very own living room window.

*sigh* la vie est belle.IMG_0778
